Phil Goulding
I’m Phil, co-owner of S40 Personal Training and a coach with over 11 years and 15,000 hours of 1-on-1 experience.

Fitness has been a part of my life from an early age, playing football in the park, lifting weights at 16, and later studying Sports Science at Loughborough University.
These experiences have shaped my approach to coaching and allowed me to deliver programs that get real results.
As a dad to a young lad, with a dog and a business to run, I understand how busy life can get and how challenging it is to prioritise your health and fitness.
I specialise in helping clients balance the demands of life while achieving their goals, whether that’s weight loss, strength, or performance.

I’ve worked with clients of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to ultra-marathon runners, helping each person reach their full potential in a supportive and motivating environment.
Rich Timperley
I’m Rich, co-owner of S40 Personal Training and coach with over 10 years of 1-1 and group experience.

Throughout my life I’ve always been involved in sports, from football, athletics, basketball, cricket to weightlifting and cycling later in life. I did however suffer injuries from sports meaning I spent a year completely inactive which led to gaining a significant amount of weight.
I then lost 6 and a half stone which inspired me to complete a degree in Sports Science, working with Leicester Tigers as an S&C coach and competing in multiple natural bodybuilding competitions.

Having gone through that weight loss journey and having 2 children, 3 sausage dogs and running a business I know how hard maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be.

I am able to empathise with your fitness journey, whether it be weight loss related or based around performance goals. I have worked with clients from 18-80 years old of all abilities, from new trainees to professional athletes and paralympians.

TOM BROAD
Hi, I’m Tom, a Personal Trainer and Mental Health & Exercise Coach working in the industry since 2018, helping people improve both their physical health and mental well being.
Over the years, I’ve supported clients from all backgrounds through menopause, injury rehabilitation, post-COVID recovery, major surgeries including kidney transplants, and general strength and fitness development. I combine evidence-based coaching with real-life, practical application to help people build strength, resilience, and confidence in a way that is sustainable and tailored to the individual.
I move beyond the traditional “lose weight and tone up” approach. Instead, I help clients to:

✅ Build strength in both body and mind
✅ Develop confidence and competence in movement
✅ Improve self-awareness and trust in
what their body can do

I believe exercise should feel empowering, enjoyable, and supportive of your lifestyle, not something that feels like punishment.
I’m proud to be part of S40 Personal Training Studio and passionate about helping people achieve long-term, meaningful progress.
