Phil Goulding
I’m Phil, co-owner of S40 Personal Training and a coach with over 11 years and 15,000 hours of 1-on-1 experience.

Fitness has been a part of my life from an early age, playing football in the park, lifting weights at 16, and later studying Sports Science at Loughborough University.
These experiences have shaped my approach to coaching and allowed me to deliver programs that get real results.
As a dad to a young lad, with a dog and a business to run, I understand how busy life can get and how challenging it is to prioritise your health and fitness.
I specialise in helping clients balance the demands of life while achieving their goals, whether that’s weight loss, strength, or performance.

I’ve worked with clients of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to ultra-marathon runners, helping each person reach their full potential in a supportive and motivating environment.
Rich Timperley
I’m Rich, co-owner of S40 Personal Training and coach with over 10 years of 1-1 and group experience.

Throughout my life I’ve always been involved in sports, from football, athletics, basketball, cricket to weightlifting and cycling later in life. I did however suffer injuries from sports meaning I spent a year completely inactive which led to gaining a significant amount of weight.
I then lost 6 and a half stone which inspired me to complete a degree in Sports Science, working with Leicester Tigers as an S&C coach and competing in multiple natural bodybuilding competitions.

Having gone through that weight loss journey and having 2 children, 3 sausage dogs and running a business I know how hard maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be.

I am able to empathise with your fitness journey, whether it be weight loss related or based around performance goals. I have worked with clients from 18-80 years old of all abilities, from new trainees to professional athletes and paralympians.

TOM BROAD
Hey everyone! I’m Tom, a Mental Health and Exercise Coach (MHEC) with 6 years in the industry, helping people from all walks of life move, feel, and live better.
I’ve worked with clients through menopause, broken bones, strains, COVID recovery, and even kidney transplants—and everything in between. My goal? To help you enjoy fitness in a way that moves beyond the usual “lose weight, tone up” mindset.
I want you to:
✅ Feel stronger in both body and mind
✅ Build confidence in your movement
✅ Gain self-awareness and trust in what your body can do
Fitness isn’t about punishing yourself—it’s about empowerment, growth, and feeling at ease in your own skin.
I’m excited to bring this approach to S40 personal training studio, and I can’t wait to meet and support you on your journey!

Hi, I’m Katie! I help people feel confident in the gym,
and in their own skin.
I come from a motocross and county cross-country running background, and I’ve competed in Hyrox events, so I know what it takes to push your limits, perform under pressure, and thrive in challenging environments.
I specialise in helping clients make lasting changes to their fitness, whether that’s building strength, boosting endurance, improving performance, or just feeling unstoppable.
My sessions are supportive, motivating, and tailored to your goals, creating an environment where everyone can succeed.
I work with anyone looking to take their fitness seriously and make real, sustainable progress.
My approach is all about building confidence, celebrating achievements, and enjoying the journey as much as the results.
